3 Low Carb Bagel Summer Recipes


A few weekends ago, the Lovely @mygirlishwhims took over our Instagram and shared some amazing treats! She has been a long time Brand Ambassador and is known for whipping up some tasty meals that the Instagram community loves to recreate. While she's not eating a bagel, she's either on the cover of People or making the next DIY craft! Let's get back to the bagels! Here are her top 3 creations from her takeover!


1.Crab Cake Bagel

For the crab melts: mix together 1 chopped scallion, 4oz crab meat, 1 Tbs plain Greek yogurt, 1 Tbs low-fat mayo, 1 tsp Dijon mustard and a few shakes of Old Bay seasoning. Spread mixture onto two halves of a Western bagel English muffin and top with 1oz of low-fat mozzarella. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until cheese melts!

2. Chicken Pita Sandwich

 Western Bagel Alternative Low Carb Chicken Pita Sandwich

For the pitas: Cut an Alternative pita in half and open the folds. Pop into an air fryer for a few minutes with cooking spray to get it a little crispy (optional). Fill each half with tzatziki sauce, pre-cooked chicken sausage, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.

3. Open-Faced Peanut butter and Eggs 


For the salty/sweet bagel halves: Cut a Perfect 10 healthy grain bagel in half and toast. Mix 12g of powdered peanut butter with water or 0 calorie sweetener until peanut butter consistency. Spread onto one bagel half and drizzle with 1tbs of chocolate. For the savory: spread a laughing cow cheese wedge on the other bagel half then top with a fried egg and everything but the bagel seasoning
